17. Deleting Your Account

You have full control over your DatePull account. If you wish to permanently delete your account and remove your personal data from our active systems, you can do so directly within the application.

How to delete your account:

  • Step 1: Open the DatePull app and navigate to the “More” screen or open the Settings panel (depending on your platform version).
  • Step 2: Scroll to the account management section.
  • Step 3: Tap on the button labelled “Delete Account” or “Permanently Delete Account”.
  • Step 4: Confirm your choice when prompted — you may be asked to re-enter your credentials or provide a reason for leaving (this helps us improve).
  • Step 5: Once confirmed, your account will be scheduled for immediate deletion. Your profile information, matches, messages, and associated data will be permanently removed from active use within 48 hours.

Important information about account deletion:

  • Account deletion is irreversible. You will lose access to your profile, conversations, matches, and any paid subscription benefits (prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law).
  • Some information may be retained for legal, fraud prevention, or security purposes as described in the Data Retention section (e.g., transaction logs for tax compliance, resolved dispute records). Any retained data will be anonymized or kept to the minimum extent required by applicable law.
  • If you signed up using third-party authentication (Google or Apple), deleting your DatePull account does not delete your Google or Apple account; it only severs the connection and erases DatePull-held data.
  • After deletion, your username and previous profile information will no longer be visible to other users. We may retain backup copies for a limited recovery period, but these cannot be used to reactivate your account.
  • If you encounter any issues while deleting your account through the “More” or Settings screen, please contact our support team at info@datepull.com for assistance. We will verify your identity and help complete the deletion request.

For users who prefer to request deletion outside the app (e.g., if you lost access to your account), you may email us from the registered email address. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and, after verification, will delete your account manually. However, we strongly recommend using the in-app “Delete Account” button for the fastest and most secure process.

🕒 Reminder: Deleting your account will also cancel any active subscriptions. To avoid future charges, ensure you cancel through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) if applicable, though the “Delete Account” action will automatically revoke any active plan.
